As Christ called his apostles to “Come follow me… I will make you fishers of men,” so, too, Christ calls us.

The word vocation comes from the Latin word “vocare” which means “to call.” Our true vocation does not come from the world, but rather, it is an invitation directly from God. Through Baptism, God calls each of us to live and follow Him in holiness through love of God and neighbour. God calls us to love him and serve him through marriage, single life, lay ecclesial ministry, religious life, diaconate or the priesthood.

Vocation Chalice

Join others who have signed up to receive the Holy Chalice. Bring the Holy Chalice into your home for one week. With family, friends or alone, devote time each day to pray for vocations. A vocation prayer booklet is included with the Chalice. All families, couples, and individuals are invited to participate. Sign up sheets are on the bulletin board at the back of the church.
